Los Gatos

slide-3

In 1916 a writer for Sunset Magazine wrote that, “To see Los Gatos is to love the town.” The same can be said over a century later. It has a near perfect blend of proximity to Silicon Valley and yet is outside the fray. With the Santa Cruz Mountains in the background, Los Gatos has a downtown that showcases its historic past with its well-preserved older architecture and charming streets. It is a favorite location for well-known retail stores, boutiques, restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops. Many use Los Gatos as a popular spot to begin wine tasting tours of the many wonderful Santa Cruz Mountains wineries. Los Gatos is located just 52 miles from San Francisco, 126 miles from Sacramento and about 225 miles from Lake Tahoe. The name Los Gatos is Spanish, meaning ‘the cats’.
